Cryotherapy |
|
Cryotherapy (also called cryosurgery)
is the application of extreme cold to destroy abnormal or
diseased tissue. Cryotherapy is used to treat a number of
diseases and disorders, especially skin conditions like
warts, moles, skin tags and solar keratoses. Liquid
nitrogen is usually used to freeze the tissues at the cellular
level. The procedure is used often because of its efficacy and
low rates of side effects. |

Technology:
Dermasmart uses the LHE (Light and Heat Energy) technology
developed by Radiancy. It works with two different energy
pathways - Light and Heat. Optimised wavelength, spot size and
pulse duration are simultaneously applied to achieve the
required follicle damage that causes efficient Hair removal
without any need for skin cooling mechanisms.
Safety and Reliability:
Very Less energy exposure time (35 ms), which is less than
thermal relaxation time (40 ms). This is a drastic improvement
in comparison to the Laser Technology where exposure time varies
from 45 ms to 120 ms. LHE is dual energy technology that uses
very low energy fluence, 3-20 Joules/cm.sq. as compared to Laser
where energy fluence is very high, 60-100 Joules/cm.sq. which
may even cause burn and hyperpigmentation. |

Acne Therapy |
 |
Using three prong approach of Green light, Red light, and
Heat, LHE optimizes the oxygen effect and quickly destroys
P. acnes.
Green and red light reach deep into the pore while the heat
intensifies the process and gently opens the pores to
release the clog and soothe the inflammation.
The P. acnes produces porphyrins as part of its normal life
cycle. Once the Porphyrin is exposed to light it becomes
chemically active, inducing a photodynamic reaction, which
results in destruction of the P. acne bacteria and the
sebaceous gland. |
